This party was very similar to the one we had gone to the night before in Al Kosh. After a church service we landed up at a large hall where the entire community gathered to celebrate, eat and dance while listening to outrageously loud music throughout. Above you can see the entry processional. Below you can see the young men hoisted on the shoulders of others and carried into the hall amid confetti and candy.
The children ran behind picking up the candy that had landed on the floor. The two new priests landed up on a dais with a table for two.
This landed up being an event featuring a buffet.
The clergy, including the English teachers, were asked to help themselves first.
Below you can see the two new priests. They gave up on being by themselves and came to eat with their former classmates.
