In the olive grove

Our host: Dr. Kamal Abu Jaber (with Cindy), the former Minister of Foreign Affairs for Jordan, invited a number of distinguished guests to an "informal" supper at his farm. There were priests from Lebanon, Iraq and Jordan there, some former Jordanian ambassadors and the current Ambassador of Germany to Jordan, along with the Mennonites from MCC.

The food was fantastic. A real Jordanian feast. There was plenty of lamb in various dishes including kebobs. The dish on the top right of the table is Jordanian style "ful" (Fava beans). There were special desserts made for the Id which were really good, but I don't remember the name of, nor are they pictured here. I met some very interesting people and had fun trying to explain what Mennonites are.
