Supper at Fall a fall in Ankawa

After another day of lesson planning we went out for supper in town. This is a fast food restaurant with Iraqi food. When read from right to left the sign says "fall" in Arabic followed by "a fall" in English. Everything is bright and colorful from the street. One orders and pays downstairs and then the food is brought up to you on the second floor.
Behind the glass you can watch the felafels being fried. You can see some sitting on the edges. They were delicious.

There was quite a variety of food on the menu and a lot of young men behind the counter wrapping sandwiches. This young man landed up being our waiter.

The restaurant has a dining room upstairs. I asked the waiter to take this picture. From left to right you can see Carolyn, Arthur, Jim, Deb and Diana.

The stuff that looks like pizza had a spicy topping based on tomatoes. The rest was do it yourself sandwiches in pita bread - complete with pickles and hummus. We each had a yogurt based drink that is actually a bit salty.
